"Live Video Chat Tax Service Counter": 42 Tax-Related Paperwork, Pickup in 5 minutes, Saves 30 Minute Drive!

Beginning February, the Hsinchu City Local Tax Bureau added "Live Video Chat Tax Service Counters" in East District Puding and Nanliao Joint Neighborhood Offices, allowing citizens who live far away from the Local Tax Bureau to save at least 30 minutes roundtrip. Mayor Lin Chih-chien visited the Nanliao Joint Neighborhood Office to inspect, and he stated that the setup of internet systems provides convenience to the public; the Mayor wishes "a small change on municipal administration will bring huge convenience to the public".
Mayor Lin stated, Hsinchu is a blessed smart city, the City Government will continue to provide more convenient way of transact affairs through the setup of a more intelligent systems. The video chat system allows a 30~ 50 minutes time saving, allowing the application of 42 tax related files and pickup within 5 minutes at the joint neighborhood offices nearby. The Mayor asks the neighborhood chiefs and officers to actively promote this convenient service.
Mayor Lin pointed out, according to the survey from the Ministry of Finance, Hsinchu had a 98.5% online local tax filing rate, which is not only the highest among all cities and counties, but also in history, plus, the average rate of using internet is the highest in Taiwan.
Local Tax Bureau Director stated, the "Live Video Chat Tax Service Counters" in Siangshan office, which was setup in 2013, processed an average of 377 tax affairs yearly, receiving affirmation and praises form the public. In order for the East district and North district residents to enjoy the same service, the Local Tax Bureau cooperated with the East District Puding and Nanliao Joint Neighborhood Offices to expand the video chat service sites, fulfilling the need of the public.
The "Live Video Chat Tax Service Counters" in three districts provided 42 tax related services, and only personal identification card is needed; after identification verification process is complete, needed files will be available for pickup all in 5 minutes.
