Minzhi Academy Parking Lot Renovates for the First Time in 16 Years! Mayor: Two "Firsts" in Public Parking Lots

Hsinchu City Minzhi Academy Parking Lot will be renovated for the first time! Hsinchu City Government implemented the "Parking Lot Re-design Projects", and the construction beginning ceremony was held on March 1. Mayor Lin Chih-chien stated after the improvements, the parking lot will have smart vehicle searching services, nursery room, and children's play area; the construction is expected to complete in June.

Mayor Lin stated the Minzhi Academy parking lot, built in 2001, is one of the most-used public parking lots; moreover, it had been used for 16 years, and the building was old, dark, damaged, and had water leaking issues; the City Government implemented the "Parking Lot Re-design Projects" to give a brand new look for the parking lot. "Minzhi Academy Parking Lot will have two 'Firsts' in public parking lots!" 

Mayor Lin stated, the parking lot will introduce the first "Smart Vehicle Searching Services", allowing the public to use smartphone application or parking lot device to locate their vehicle; besides, the parking lot will also be the first to setup nursery rooms and children's play area in the city.
 
The Mayor pointed out, the old model of operating a parking lot was "the more cars the more money". The City Government implemented "Parking Lots Re-design Projects", planning to improve most-used parking lots in the city, providing the smartest, most comfortable and convenient parking experience.

Hsinchu City Government Department of Transportation stated, the renovation would start from 7th floor and go downwards, floor by floor; the construction is expected to renovate the water drainage system, painting, lighting devices, public restrooms, management office, unused spaces, also upgrading parking soft and hardware; the total budget for the construction would be around $30 million, estimated to complete in June. The Department of Transport asks the public to be aware of reduced parking spaces during the construction period.
