Hsinchu City Government implemented the "Parking Lots Re-design Projects", the projects not only improved the soft and hardwares (repainting signage, increasing brightness, adding license plates recognition systems and charging station...etc) for the Zhongyang Parking Lot under Dongda Bridge, but also the traffic flow of exit and entrance, allowing vehicles to travel smoother in the parking lot.

The Mayor stated, in order to solve the traffic problem in Zhongyang Parking Lot, he went and investigated on site many times, also having the Hsinchu City Government Department of Transportation and the operator of the parking lot to elaborate an improvement plan. Beginning 2017 January 1, the parking lot exit was relocated to the intersection of Minzu and Dongda Road while the entrance remained on the intersection of Zhongyang Road and Dongda Road, solving the congestion and traffic problems at the entry point intersection while improving the parking lot's operation efficiency.

The Mayor pointed out, the old model of operating a parking lot was to have "as many parking spaces as possible", which had no adequate control and management, giving an old and dark impression of the parking lot facilities. The City Government implemented "Parking Lots Re-design Projects", planning to improve the interior for all old city-owned parking lots. The re-design projects will stand at the user's point of view to provide a friendly parking experience.

The Department of Transportation stated, the parking lot had received great comments from the public; after the improvements, tourists and travelers for Central Park can see colorful signage along Dongda Road while traveling to the carpark; also relieving parking problems for nearby department stores during holidays and festivals.
